The history of one Rundle

one Rundle is a family-owned business. We began trading in November 2000 from a small 19th Century building at 1 Rundle Street, Kent Town, hence our name. We have since 'grown into' the vast and beautiful 1920's picture theatre, formerly known as 'Melba's' , that we now inhabit.

Our talented Directors and staff number more than 15 people. Although we have grown, we hope that we still offer a unique and very personalised retail experience.

We are very focused in our intention to create and contribute to beautiful and unique interiors. We are inspired by the depth and patina of the European country house, which we interpret through the lens of the Australian interior, with all its freshness and vitality. We will only stock that which is beautiful, unique and of the highest quality. Everything we carry must contribute to its environment, aesthetically or functionally, and must represent excellent value for money.
